Welcome
to Studio484 - I hope you experience some of the joy and energy that creating these works has provided for me.
Following your passion can be risky business... I have been a graphic designer since the early '80's... yes, I'm old in years, but with age comes wisdom... wisdom to know who you really are and more importantly... aka, what is your passion?!
Mine is creating. I have been drawing since I could hold a crayon. Masterpieces on the under side of the dining room table in my parents home... Or when that canvas was full... there was always the under side of the bed... there were blank canvases everywhere!
Creating has always been an essential part of my life. My work as a graphic designer has provided a good living for me... but now it's time for my real work to begin. The work that I was put on this planet to do. It's time to share the joy.

Biography
My paintings are born at the intersection thought and feelings. Influenced by many of the greats -- Van Gogh, Monet, O’Keefe and Kahlo -- my creations are expressive and brimming with energy.
Early life for me was childhood adventures in a scenic small town in Grey County in the 60’s. Perhaps it’s unsurprising that my early work leaned toward landscapes, albeit through abstract artworks. Life is now divided between The Blue Mountains in Ontario and journeys south to Barbados, and I find these equally inspiring. I work in acrylics and watercolours, adding edge and effect with pastels and inks.
My college studies were founded on fine arts and graphics. Painting has always been my passion, but I had a rewarding career in graphic design. Occasionally I led ‘paint night’ events for others to share the creative experience.
The success of my first gallery show encouraged me to show more of my efforts. My goal is always to share my view of the world with others and express the joy of creating.
